As part of his thesis work, Sauli Kodisoja conducted a study examining the effectiveness of eGate’s real-time particle monitoring system as part of cleanliness management in P1 construction projects. The study was carried out in cooperation with Sweco Finland Oy, eGate, and the City of Turku.
The objective of the study was to determine whether continuous particle monitoring can be used to monitor and manage cleanliness levels on P1 construction sites and identify dust deviations in real time and transparently.
The results showed a strong correlation between airborne particle measurements and surface dust measurements. In practice, this means that eGate’s continuous particle monitoring can provide a real-time understanding of construction site cleanliness and P1 area conditions already during the construction phase.
The study further highlights the growing importance of digital and real-time cleanliness and environmental management in modern construction projects.
