Markku has worked in various management positions in Kesko Oy in the 80’s and in Polar Group in the 90’s. Between 1995 and 2001 he worked as the CEO of Pirkan OP-Kiinteistö-keskus, and then moved on to work as the vice CEO of  Rakennustoimisto Palmberg Oy, and later as the CEO, and member of the management group of Lemminkäinen Talo Oy.

Since 2011 Markku has worked in Akkumo Oy as an entrepreneur and an investor, and as a professional board member in several companies. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the fields of wholesale, construction, real estate and business development.
